Rooted in Mayo.
Crafted for Ireland.
Nestled in the heart of Foxford, County Mayo, on Ireland’s untamed west coast, Dair Nua Cooperage was born from a deep respect for tradition and a forward-looking approach to whiskey maturation.
A Tradition of Craftsmanship
At Dair Nua Cooperage, we proudly serve the Irish whiskey industry across the entire island of Ireland. Our services reflect our commitment to quality and precision, offering expert cask inspection, repair, re-charring, de-charring, and resizing.
But our passion doesn’t stop at the workshop. We also source and supply a wide selection of premium specialty casks from around the world, selected for their unique character and ideal properties for aging whiskey and fine spirits.

A Team Built
on Passion
Step into our cooperage and you’ll discover more than just barrels. You’ll find a growing team of craftsmen and women, each bringing their own experience, artistry, and dedication to the process. Our work is collaborative, hands-on, and deeply personal; because every cask that leaves our cooperage carries with it a part of our story.
Inspired by the Land
County Mayo is more than our location: it’s our identity. Its rolling green hills, dramatic cliffs, and rich cultural heritage are woven into the very fabric of our work. The landscapes that surround us inspire the rhythm of our craft, and the spirit of the West lives on in every cask we shape.
At Dair Nua, we are proud to honour Mayo’s legacy by crafting barrels that reflect its rugged beauty, deep roots, and enduring spirit.
